A Note To All

These are only 3 of the 75 stories the children wrote about Corporal Punishment . The ideas they came up with were morbid and very, very disturbing . It horrified me to see how they look at CP and how they feel about it . Sit back, keep the lights on and also someone close by ... do not, I repaet, DO NOT READ WHIL ALONE + it's X- Rated stuff for extreme violence . *Shudders*

Moral of the Story : Never hit a child . Yikesssssssss .

In the original Cinderella story the ugly stepsisters were put in a barrel full of nails and rolled down a hill (Or something like that.) In Hansel and Gretel the kids shoved a witch into a burning stove (or something like that.)

Kids have oddly violent minds. They always have had. Although we think of TV violence as new and it shocks some of us, violence has always been part of public life. In the Middle Ages public performances were more violent than today's TV, and the audiences were meant to laugh - and they did. (Facts from A Distant Mirror by Barbara Tuchman)

I hate violence in movies and books and generally skip over it. There's a tiny bit of comfort in knowing that it's always been so, it's not a modern phenomenon.
